DALLAS (KRLD) - Multiple sources say the Dallas County District Attorney's is looking into whether Dallas City Councilman Kevin Felder made an attempt to personally call police chief Renee Hall shortly after a reported accident between the councilman and a man on a motorized scooter.

The case was first reported on February 13.

It's not known when the phone call to the chief was made, but police and outside sources say it is now part of the investigation by the District Attorney's office.

KRLD News tried to directly ask Felder about the call. His response was "how you doing today?" Felder then continued walking behind a secured area of City Hall.

KRLD News also tried both e-mailing Chief Hall and asking her about it in person. Hall, who was on the other side of a secured glass door at city hall, declined to answer questions. After conferring with another city official, Hall was heard responding that she would answer in an e-mail.

That was Wednesday. No response has been forthcoming. Felder was arrested for leaving he left the scene of an accident ... a charge that is still pending. His attorney has said he does not believe there was a accident.
