DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Dallas County health officials are reporting another death due to the flu. It's the eighth flu-related death in Dallas County this season.
Official say the patient was 69-years-old and lived in Dallas.
"We cannot predict the intensity, severity or duration of the flu season from year to year," said Dr. Christopher Perkins, Medical Director for Dallas County Health and Human Services. "The best way to protect yourself and others is to get your seasonal flu shot."
DCHHS is offering free flu vaccines for children at all six of its immunization clinics. Adults and seniors can get a free flu vaccination at a mobile clinic scheduled to be at the Pleasant Grove Library on Lake June Road on Friday, February 15th between 10:00am and 12:00noon.
