DALLAS (KRLD) A North Texas woman who is considered a major force in the nonprofit world is speaking out.
Michelle Kinder, who is stepping down as head of the Momentous Institute Friday, March 1, has a warning for other charities.
Kinder says there's a big problem these days regarding inattention to inequality and believes nonprofits need to take a good look at who's making decisions. She also says that as a society, we need to do better when it comes to equality, and people need to listen more.
"Let's look around and see who's in this room, and be honest about who's NOT in this room. Can we really construct a solution that's going to change our city if we don't get a wider, more diverse table looking at the solutions, Kinder asks?
