It happened Thursday evening, when police say the victim was getting out of her car in the Quadrangle parking garage off McKinney Ave. As the woman was walking away from the vehicle, a man approached her and forced her back into her car.
Police say she was then sexually assaulted.
After the attack, the suspect took of on foot.
Police are looking over security cameras in the are to see if they can find an image of the man.
He is described only as a black man, in his 30's, standing around 5'9. He was unshaven and wore worn out shoes.
One long time Uptown resident says the crime is frightening.
"I feel crime is getting worse, not better in the area. It almost makes you not want to go out."
