FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - There's now a delay in tomorrow's scheduled hearing over the firing of former Fort Worth police chief Joel Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald is seeking immediate re-instatement and back pay.
Also, a judge has extended her temporary restraining order to prevent the city from hiring a new chief.
His lawyer contends the firing was improper, claiming Fitzgerald was entitled to a public hearing before he was fired.
