Former Ranger Pitcher Wetteland Indicted On Charge Of Continuous Sexual Abuse Of A Child

DENTON (1080 KRLD) - A Denton County grand jury has decided the sexual abuse case of former Texas Rangers pitcher John Wetteland. 

John Wetteland, the all-time Texas Rangers' saves leader, has been indicted on a charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child younger than age 14.

Wetteland who lives in Trophy Club, was arrested in January.

Police said the abuse happened at Wetteland's former home in Bartonville.

Wetteland was a coach for the Rangers before joining the Washington Nationals in 2006.

He is a member of the Texas Rangers hall of fame.
