DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Four people are dead after a carbon monoxide poisoning Sunday morning in Dallas.

A statement from the fire department indicates that two adult men and two children, both under the age of two, were killed by carbon monoxide poisoning at a home in the 1400 block of Owega Avenue that is under construction.

Investigators said that the owner of the home went to check out the location and once inside, he found both men and both children deceased. The home owner told investigators that the two men had been working on the house and were staying inside the house overnight along with the two children.

A generator that was originally outside of the house was brought inside prior to the deaths in order to prevent it being stolen.
