PLANO (1080 KRLD) - The Frisco man accused of shooting a DPS trooper Friday is out of the hospital and in the Collin County jail.
Bryan Cahill, 42, is facing a charge of aggravated assault on a public servant. Bond is set at $500,000.
Both Cahill and the trooper were wounded in gunfire as a chase led police up the Dallas North Tollway to Frisco.
A standoff at an apartment complex lasted overnight.
The trooper has undergone surgery and is expected to recover.
