MCKINNEY (1080 KRLD) - A natural gas leak forced the evacuation of several businesses in a McKinney shopping center.
Several businesses were evacuated Tuesday in the area around the Home Depot store off of 75/Central and Hwy 380 after work crews accidentally cut a 6-inch gas line.
Crews from the McKinney Fire Department were called to the scene as a precaution and ended up helping to remove several animals from a Pet Smart store.
Petsmart and all stores in this strip mall are now evacuated due to gas leak. No timeline yet on repairs. All dogs and cats have been evacuated from the pet store. pic.twitter.com/Cbu3cL8wa9
