FORT WORTH (KRLD) - The private equity firm in Fort Worth that owns Gatti's filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
It turns out the pizza chain has more than $32 million dollars in secured debt. Gatti's released a statement that says in part: "Due to issues that were existing when we acquired the brand that we have not been able to resolve, we are taking this step to ensure the strength of the brand and the franchise system moving forward.
This will have no impact on operations at the store level. Customers will not see any changes in service or the quality of our products.
Gatti's used to be known as Mr. Gatti's Pizza. It started up in 1969 in Austin.
