DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The Government has told federal workers to expect a paycheck to be deposited in the morning.
That check will cover the last pay period in 2018. A second check will come Thursday and a third check next week.
It's welcome news for North Texas TSA security screeners like Rudy Garcia. But he's mindful there could be another shutdown next month if a new budget agreement is not reached.
"There's undertainty about that." said Garcia. "Will we be shut down again? We don't know. So we're kind of on edge. We're planning on it but we hope we don't have to go out again."
To get an idea who long they have been without pay, the check that's due tomorrow is for the end of 2018.
