GRANBURY (1080 KRLD) - A Granbury ISD student is facing a misdemeanor charge after allegedly posting a threat against her school.

The Hood County Sheriff’s Office posted on its Facebook page that it received information over the weekend that Sierra Noel Mendoza, 17, made the threat against her school, the STARS Accelerated High School.

The HCSO says Mendoza posted a video stating that she’s the next school shooter.

Mendoza is charged with exhibition, threat or use of firearms, and she is free on bond.

The Granbury ISD is on spring break this week, and the district posted on Twitter that there is no known threat against the school or its students or staffers.
