DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - An East Texas Green Beret has been killed in Afghanistan over the weekend.

Army Sergeant Major James Sartor grew up and graduated from high school in Teague, about an hour east of Waco.

He enlisted in 2001 just three months before the September Eleventh terrorist attacks.

The Defense Departments say Sartor died Saturday in combat with terrorists in Afghanistan.
