ARGYLE (1080 KRLD) - Flood water damaged more than a dozen homes in Argyle when severe weather pushed through North Texas Monday evening.

The Argyle Fire Department says the damage was concentrated in a neighborhood near I-35W and Crawford Road.

"All of the water is diverted into this drainage easement, basically," says Homeowner Ted Dowing. "It's feet of water in an instant."

No one was hurt, but people who live in the area say the water caused thousands of dollars in damage to their homes.

"We know the foundation is washed away below," says Erin Reed, who also lives in the neighborhood near Skyline Drive and Valley View Court. "Our retaining wall, that is all demolished. The yard is about 18 inches lower than when we bought the house."

The Argyle Fire Department says no one was injured but says more flooding is possible with more rain in the forecast.

"It's already saturated," says Assistant Fire Chief Mike Luge. "That's our concern is, with more rain coming in, more flooding."
