FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A lawsuit against American Airlines is moving to a federal court in Fort Worth court, after a woman died due to health complications on the plane.

Reports say 25-year-old Brittany Oswell died in 2016, three days after her flight landed at DFW Airport. She and her new husband were flying to DFW after their honeymoon. On board,  Brittany started having medical issues. A doctor on the plane told the pilot that in order to save her, the plane needed to make an emergency landing.

However, the flight continued and landed at DFW Airport. Brittany was rushed to the hospital after landing, but later died.

In a statement, American Airlines says they continue to grieve along with Brittany's loved ones for their loss.

Brittany's family and husband filed the lawsuit in South Carolina last year, claiming the plane had faulty medical equipment.

The case is being moved to Fort Worth since American Airlines is based there.
