FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A man from Arlington drowned July 4 while visiting Possum Kingdom Lake with friends.
Texas Parks and Wildlife says the 30 year old was on a pool float in the Bone Bend area Thursday afternoon and lost his balance.
The initial call was for two men in distress. Texas Parks and Wildlife says one man was rescued and should recover.
The other man never resurfaced. Texas Parks and Wildlife says other people nearby pulled him from the lake a short time later.
CPR was administered and paramedics took him to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead. Texas Parks and Wildlife says the man was not wearing a life jacket.
