FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - Fort Worth police are looking for the shooters after five people were gunned down during a party at a park Sunday night.
Police say the shooting happened around 7:00 pm when gunfire erupted in the midst of a gathering of an estimated 600 people at Village Creek Park on Wilbarger near Highway 287.
At virtually the same time and less than a mile away - there was another shooting that may or may not be related.Fort Worth officer Buddy Calzada said that of the five who were wounded at Village Creek Park, two are in critical condition.
The Fort Worth Police gang unit is leading the investigation.
For now, investigators can't say why the victims were shot or who did it. Nor can they figure out why 600 people were gathered so close together in these days of social distancing.
