Dallas police have connected a man jailed following a police shootout in Hays County to the murder of a Dallas woman more than a week ago.
On July 12th, school teacher Jennifer Hickmon was found murdered in her southeast Oak Cliff home.
When a DPS trooper found Scott at the San Marcos convenience store, he moved in to arrest him. That's when Scott pulled a pistol and opened fire.
The trooper was not hurt but Scott was wounded by return fire.
He's being held in the Hays County jail on a $1 million bond until he can be brought back to Dallas to be tried.
