TEXAS (1080 KRLD) - The American Red Cross is ramping up their relief efforts for Hurricane Laura victims.

From Texas to Louisiana, Dan Halliburton with the American Red Cross says, "I've never quite seen a storm that has done so much damage to the electrical systems.

There are people who have been without power for over a week." Halliburton says they've ramped up a large feeding operation.

He says, "We've given out over 90 thousand meals and snacks in the area."

Halliburton also says they're handing out supplies while following COVID-19 safety measures.
