Arlington To Spray Seven Neighborhoods For Mosquitoes Possibly Carrying West Nile

 A Tarrant County death from West Nile Virus is putting extra intensity into mosquito spraying now scheduled for part of Arlington.

The city is posting signs announcing targeted spraying in seven neighborhoods where mosquito samples have tested positive for Wests Nile.

There was a round of spraying last night and there's another one tonight beginning at 9 p.m.

The neighborhoods listed on the city's Website are; Greek Row Driver near Kerby, Stagetrail Drive near Highway 287, Douglas Court near Cooper, Jake Langston Park near Woodside, Normandy Drive near Wilmette, Shady Valley Drive at West Pioneer Parkway and Miller Lane near Pantego Drive.

Tuesday, Tarrant County reported an elderly Fort Worth man died of West Nile Virus, the county's first West Nile related death since 2018.
