DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - AT&T has to write a big check to settle up a lawsuit over its original unlimited data plan.
It agreed with the Federal Trade Commission to pay $60 million in this settlement.
Maggie Reardon from CNET says this lawsuit has been in the courts for the last five years.
At least three and a half million AT&T customers could be affected in this settlement. These are customers that had the unlimited data plans dating back to before 2011.
But, their service would drop from 4-G LTE speeds down to only 2-G speeds when they hit as little as two gigabytes a month.
