The VA has been in negotiations for months. Congressman Colin Allred says plans will probably switch and the building's first use will probably be used to help with veterans hit with the coronavirus.
"In the next couple of weeks, they will start using it for capacity and if there is overflow needed they can use it for that." said Allred.
It will eventually convert to an outpatient and specialty care clinic. he new VA medical center could also be an economic boon to the area bringing 5000 jobs.
