DALLAS (KRLD) - Erick Lee Gonzalez is doing his best to thaw the bitterness of the longtime rivalry between Dallas and Houston.
Gonzalez, the owner of Baytown Hat Co., created what he calls the "StroBoys" cap. The hat features a logo that incorporates both the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros. The left half is borrowed from the Cowboys' "Blue Star," while the right half comes from the "H Star" to represent the Astros.
The hats come in various colors favored by the two teams, including orange, white, gray and blue.
Judging by the comments Gonzalez has received on Facebook, some staunch Houstonians, considering their disdain for Dallas, were not happy with his invention. But the majority of posters have been supportive, and Gonzalez says business is booming. He's already sold out of the caps, and is taking pre-orders for the next production run.
