DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The catholic diocese of Dallas is preparing to welcome their 1.3 million members to the 77 churches in the area.
Starting today, four waves of re-entry are planned that will take into consideration the recent guidance of civil and health authorities.
For now, Daily and Sunday Masses will remain temporarily suspended but will resume in future phases.
Phase one will resume scheduled confessions and Eucharistic Adoration with strict social distancing guidelines, this includes Baptisms and Confirmations.
Weddings, Ordinations, Funeral Masses and Quinceaneras will also resume so as long as attendance is in correlation to the city and state's 25% capacity guidelines.
Proper face coverings should also be followed in church buildings.
Bishop Edward J. Burns asks in a recent statement that all in the Catholic community please recognize the need for patience and prudence during this challenging time.
He says the process will be re-evaluated as necessary to ensure the health and safety of the community.
