DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Execution is scheduled for tonight twelve years after two boys were stabbed to death in their Dallas home.
Their step-father Robert Sparks was convicted and condemned to death.
The boys' mother was also murdered and their teenage sisters were raped in the same rampage.
Sparks' lawyers have argued he suffers from severe mental illness.
Lower courts and the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles have turned down requests by Sparks and his attorneys to stop the execution.
They are now asking the US Supreme Court to intervene.
