On Facebook, Corpus Christi, Texas police posted, "It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Senior Officer Charlie "Chuck" Williams.
They say he had been hospitalized at Corpus Christi Doctor's Regional Hospital when he passed away from the coronavirus.
He had been with the department for 35-years and was assigned to the Directed Patrol Division.Corpus Christi police also posted, "We send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Senior Officer Williams. Chuck, you will be greatly missed by us all."
