Is Texas a possible landing spot for the GOP National convention?
The Republicans chose Charlotte, North Carolina as the site for their 2020 convention to be held in August. But President Donald Trump claims the states democratic governor is moving too slowly to ease stay-home orders and has refused to promise to lift public health restrictions in time for the mass gathering.
On Monday, Vice President Mike Pence floated the possibility of moving the GOP convention to Texas.
Dallas finished second to Cleveland to hold the 2016 GOP convention.
Dallas hosted the Republicans in 1984 when they nominated Ronald Reagan.
The vice president also mentioned Florida and Georgia as other possible alternatives.
Democrats will hold their convention Milwaukee.
