Want to be able to track where cases of the coronavirus is rising and falling? There's an app for thatKinsa Health makes internet-connected thermometers and says they've sold over a million. Users upload their body temperature to the companies data base. Dr. Peter Hotez, dean of the national school of tropical medicine at Baylor in Houston likes it. "It tends to help you identify where new areas of large numbers of people with fever, and therefore infection are popping up. It also shows you that there may be some impact with social distancing in a couple of cities, like Santa Clara and Miami."He says he like the fact you get a lot of data points. "Even though temperature and cough is not specific for Covid-19, as we progress into the warmer weather and flu starts to die off, it's more likely this will be Covid-19. The people in the company tell me they've got some algorithms to weed out flu."
