DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - If you've been considering donating plasma, now might be a good time to do it. The CSL Plasma Challenge is ending in less than a week.
The challenge was launched as an incentive to spread awareness about plasma needs.
Throughout June, plasma donors have had the option to donate all of part of their donor fees to Project C.U.R.E-- an organization supporting front line workers as they continue the fight against COVID-19.
Eduardo Williams with CSL Plasma says it's important for everyone to donate plasma, but it's especially important if you've already had COVID-19.
"We're reaching out to those donors to provide antibodies to help us with this fight," Williams said.
He says plasma donation centers are sanitized beyond CDC guidelines, so it's safe to go out and donate.
