DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A Dallas charity is offering virtual child care. It's an idea for Dallas-area parents who are ill but who have pre-schoolers who need to be watched.
Even before the Coronavirus hit, Mommies-In-Need provided in-home nannies to watch kids whose moms had cancer or other serious illnesses. The help allowed the moms to rest and focus on their own recovery.
Now, under stay-at-home orders, the nannies cannot come out in person - so they're reaching out through Internet connections.
Natalie Boyle tells NBC 5 her nannies will do what it takes to keep pre-schoolers occupied while mom or dad rests. Virtual tea parties. Virtual dances. Virtual games. Whatever is needed.
Mommies-In-Need can even provide a tablet or educational toys if the family needs them.
