Dallas ISD Trustee's Daughter Arrested for Capital Murder

Teilor Johnson
Dallas PD

DALLAS (KRLD) - The daughter of a Dallas ISD trustee has been arrested in the death of a man whose body was left in a field near Interstate 45 December 10. Dallas police arrested Teilor Johnson, 19, Wednesday.

Johnson is the daughter of Dallas ISD Trustee Maxie Johnson.

Police say Johnson and another person, LaKevian Grant, 20, lured the victim to a house in Oak Cliff December 10. They say the victim, Quincy Wyatt, was killed, and his body was left in a field along Interstate 45.

The arrest warrant affidavit says Johnson and Grant took $600 from someone in exchange for kidnapping Quincy Wyatt. A witness said Johnson and Grant held him at gunpoint while two unidentified people forced Wyatt into the trunk of a car and shot him.

The affidavit says Johnson and Grant waived their rights and answered questions at Dallas Police headquarters. Police say their answers, witness statements and evidence found at the scene led them to arrest the two.

Johnson and Grant have been charged with capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon

Maxie Johnson's son, Christopher, was shot and killed in Oak Cliff in August.

"This has been a very, very hard time, and I didn't know if I was going to be able to make it tonight," Maxie Johnson said at the first Dallas ISD board meeting after his son's death. "But I was at home, and even with the TVs on, it was still too quiet, so I came to serve. I may not say too much tonight. I'm very heartbroken."

Friday morning, Johnson was still in jail. Her bond was listed at $600,000.
