DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A Dallas man is going to prison after pleading guilty to murdering a North Dallas woman several years ago.
48-year old Michael McClendon was sentenced to 48-years behind bars for the September 2017 stabbing death of an elderly woman.
McClendon killed 71-year old Norma Rae Kakacek who was found dead in her home on Paldao Drive near Coit and Spring Valley.
McClendon not only stole Kakacek's SUV, he invited people over to her home for a party, keeping everyone away from the bathroom where her body was.
McClendon was caught after police spotted one of his friends driving the SUV. The friend, unaware of the murder, led police to McClendon.
