FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - Several police and fire departments are shaking up the way they run things in response to COVID-19.
“We’re obviously trying to do our part,” said Officer Brad Perez, with the Fort Worth police. “Protecting ourselves, but also helping protect the citizens.”
The Fort Worth Police say they are shutting down several services open to the public, including fingerprinting and criminal history.
And they’re not the only ones making changes.
The Fort Worth Fire Department is only sending one person to check on calls before dispatching the entire team. In Lewisville, police say they will only respond to car crashes with injuries or roadblocks.
