A Dallas Police officer is facing a possible 20-year federal prison term for downloading child pornography.
According to court records, 35-year old Senior Corporal Daniel Lee Collins worked in the Dallas Police Deapartment's auto theft unit.
Court papers say Collins used the city internet to download sexually explicit pictures of very young girls.
Records say employees at Google saw, and flagged those downloads, then reported the matter to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The group then notified Dallas Police about the content.
