DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A Dallas restaurant server who was told she couldn’t wear a face covering at work because it apparently didn't fit the restaurant's image has been granted a temporary restraining order.

Face masks for employees were reportedly banned at Houston's in Addison and at three Dallas restaurants including R&D Kitchen, Hillstone and The Honor Bar.

They're all part of the California-based Hillstone Restaurant Group which has made it company policy saying no employees with covered faces because, apparently, it doesn't match the restaurants' style or image.

The Hillstone Website explains, saying "current orders do not require our staff to wear face masks."

The woman says the restaurant refused to schedule her unless she agreed to work without a mask, so she took the Hillstone Restaurant Group to court.

The order, which lets her wear a mask at work without retaliation, will last for 14 days.
