DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The baby zebra born at the Dallas zoo earlier this month has been named Malawa .
The zoo says the name 'Malawa' means flourishing.
Malawa still isn't ready for his public debut just yet, so for now he'll continue to chill behind the scene, bonding with his mom and dad.
The baby is the first Hartmann’s Mountain Zebra born at the Dallas Zoo.
That species is listed as vulnerable for extinction.
