DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Bankrupt Dallas-based Dean Foods will be acquired by Dairy Farmers of America, a national milk marketing co-op based in Kansas City.
DFA says it's bidding $425 million but the transaction is still subject to regulatory approval from the bankruptcy court and from the U.S. Department of Justice.
As the nation's largest dairy producer, Dean Foods is one of DFA's biggest customers.
