Judge Tammy Kemp informed the jury that while Guyger is on trial for murdering Jean, they may consider lesser offenses like manslaughter when determining her fate.
Guyger admitted to killing Botham Jean in his apartment on September 6, 2018. She said she thought she was going into her apartment after her shift but entered his by mistake. She says she thought he was an intruder and fired.
