That's where Zack Warren, General Manager of the Wyndham Garden Dallas North hotel (at 2645 Lyndon B Johnson Fwy) stepped in.  During this tough economic time, his 350 room hotel is only running about 10-15% occupancy.  So he decided to take those approximately 300 extra rooms and let first responders stay in them for free.

"They're already putting their lives on the line for us, the last thing we need to do is charge them for a hotel room," Warren says.

It costs him $8 to clean each room.  But that's a cost he's more than willing to absorb to give the first responders in North Texas some peace of mind during this incredible time.

He put the word out on social media, where his post has gone viral.  It's been shared thousands of times across Facebook.

"I'm having people from every state in the United States asking if I can get other hotels to start participating," says Warren.

Warren says currently about 65 rooms are being used, so there is more capacity, and he'll continue to take first responders until those rooms fill up.

First responders can call the front desk at the Wyndham Garden Dallas North at 972-243-3363 to request a room.
