DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Ferocious rain overnight caused numerous high-water rescues in Dallas and Fort Worth.
Fort Worth police had at least four such calls in just one hour beginning around 10 p.m.
Several 911 callers said they were trapped in their cars with the water rising fast around them. Dallas Fire-Rescue also launched at least one high-water rescue as the downpours moved through the DFW area.
Also in Dallas, a stretch of I-35 was closed because of high water near Inwood.
And Highway 183 was closed near the old Texas Stadium site for the same reason.
