DPS Troopers Arrest Man For Damaging The Texas State Capitol

The Texas Department of Public Safety says it happened during a protest on May 30th.

Troopers arrested 23 year old Keegan Dalton Godsey without incident for felony criminal mischief, riot and interference with public duties.

Investigators say a number of protestors intentionally damaged the Texas State Capitol building, monuments and fixtures, as well as DPS patrol vehicles.

Several DPS Troopers were also injured during the riot.

Troopers reviewed hours of videos taken during the incident. They're trying to identify more people in the videos.
