DALLAS (KRLD) - An East Texan was arrested after repeatedly making a terrorist threat to an insurance company.
Police say the Smith County man made several calls to a local state farm insurance office as well as to the company's call center.
Sheriff Larry Smith says 62-year-old Gregory McCleskey 'alluded to the fact that he an AK-47 and he needed to be paid for his insurance claim"
Smith says McCleskey was arrested outside of his Troup home. "Any time you say you have a firearm and you equate that to 'you owe me money,' that's a terroristic threat. It went even further than that."
McCleskey is jailed on a $100,000 bond. A terroristic threat, Placing the Public in Fear of Serious Bodily Injury is a third-degree felony.
