DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Former Dallas Police Chief David Brown has been chosen to lead the police department in Chicago.
The mayor there says Brown is the right choice because he believes in the "mission of bringing peace in neighborhoods and communities."
Until 2016, Brown had spent his entire career with Dallas Police. During the last six was the chief - including during the tumultuous period in 2016 when four Dallas officers and a DART officer were gunned down by a Mesquite man named Xavier Johnson.
