Fort Worth Mayor Supports Wearing Masks, Won't Mandate It

Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price

Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price is on board with wearing a mask in public, but she won't mandate it.

At the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the hope was that as the temperatures went up, the number of cases would go down. However, with some cities continuing to set records in the number of daily cases, that theory has gone out the window.

During a Facebook Live broadcast with Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price, the city's fire chief, Jim Davis, stressed the importance of wearing masks, saying that they are proven to reduce the spread of the virus.

Yesterday, Fort Worth surpassed 4,000 cases, including 118 deaths.
