FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A Fort Worth officer is being hailed a hero thanks to the quick actions she took to save a suicidal woman.
A little after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Officer Teresa Trevino responded to a call of a person in distress along Northwest Loop 820, on the Lake Worth Bridge. Officer Trevino spotted the woman getting out of her car and walking directly to the edge of the bridge.
Dramatic video catches Trevino racing to help the woman. Officer Trevino yells "Stop! Stop!" as she pulls her from the ledge and safely into custody.
The Fort Worth Police Department is calling her actions heroic.
