Fort Worth police are searching for a male suspect who kicked in a door at a home looking for guns early Wednesday morning.
Police say it happened around 1:00 a.m. at a home on Roaring Springs Road.
Police say the man kicked in the door, entered the home and started assaulting a woman. They say the woman's son saw what was happening and shot the suspect, wounding him.
Police say the man fled the scene, jumping into a nearby vehicle with a companion, possibly a woman. The suspect drove to his sister's home on Bonita Drive, but police say he left again after learning she'd called the cops on him.
Police are still searching for the suspect, anyone with information is asked to come forward.
Police say the woman who was attacked in her home refused medical treatment.
