DALLAS (KRLD) - A Frisco woman is fighting for her life after she was run over by an SUV in College Station early Saturday morning.
Family and friends of Carly Beatty are posting about her multiple surgeries on Facebook.
Around 2 a.m on Saturday, police say she was walking home from a friend's house when a driver struck her head-on.
College Station Police Officer Tristan Lopez says, "The car that struck the pedestrian did not remain on the scene. It was located about a mile and a half away."
Police arrested Pedro Puga in the incident. He's charged with intoxication assault, failure to stop and render aid and evading arrest.
Officer Lopez says, "according to the probable cause statements, the man told an officer he would not have been caught had he not taken Xanax and Cocaine earlier in the night."
A Facebook fundraising page for Carly Beatty has raised over $53,000.
