DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The Dallas Independent School District is being sued by parents of a teenager who was groped by a man who was posing as a student at Hillcrest High School.
In a case that was reported nation-wide, Sidney Gilstrap-Portley was really 25-years-old, but he pretended to be a teenager so he could play basketball at Hillcrest High School.
While there, the girl's family claims he committed indecencies with her.
The parents lawsuit names him, the Dallas ISD and the former Hillcrest Principal along with the school's basketball coach, athletic coordinator and registrar.
The family claims all of them should have known that Gilstrap-Portley was too old to be a high school student.
