DALLAS (KRLD) - Governor Greg Abbott announced Tuesday several businesses can reopen in Texas on Friday.
He says hair salons and barber shops, nail and tanning salons in Texas will be able to open Friday if they follow some guidelines. They will only be allowed to have one customer per stylist...and customers can only wait inside the salon if they maintain social distancing.
Governor Greg Abbott says they're also recommending that salons don't take walk-in customers and only schedule appointments in advance.
He also announced. Monday, May 18th, gym and exercise facilities will be able to reopen, but showers and locker rooms have to stay closed. A maximum 25% capacity is allowed in the gyms, and equipment must be disinfected after each use.
