Grand Prairie Police have arrested a teacher accused of sexually assaulting a child.
Police say 37-year-old Jamil Wazad of The Colony worked at the Uplift Grand Preparatory Academy, which is a charter school.
Police got a call in July from the parent of a child who claims the child was sexually assaulted during the 2018 - 2019 school year.
Detectives interviewed staff, parents and students and this week arrested Wazed for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
